Here are ten easy tips to get you started;

1. Watch your speed-driving at speed limit will increase your gas
   milage by about  8-10%
2. Avoid excelerated starts-This uses a lot of gas and increases pollution.
3. Anticipate stops-Coasting to a stop saves your gas and your brakes.
4. Keep your tires properly inflated-You loose 1% of fuel economy for every 3 pounds
   below the reccomended pressure.
5. If at all possible avoid rush hour traffic-Stop and go traffic increases both gas useage
   and emissions.
6. Travel light-Extra weight reduces fuel economy.
7. Combine trips-Warm engines run more efficiently utilizing less gas.
8. Roll down the windows-Air conditioning wastes fuel.
9. Keep track of your fuel consumption- If you notice significant changes
   ask yourself have I made any changes in my driving patterns.  If not you
   may need a tune-up or an oil change.
10. Drive less-Utilize alternative modes of transportaion, walking, riding a bike,
    or sharing a ride.  You may find yourself staying home more.
